Salty is an artist from the tropical metropolis of Singapore. Her collaborative projects, films, and performances seek to create new and interesting life possibilities for audiences and participants, while encouraging a deeper connection between people. Within an intimate vernacular she explores the line between fantasy and truth, manifesting semi-fictional paradigms for the real and imagined lives of humans.
She completed her MFA in Art & Social Practice in Portland, Oregon, and is the Artist in Residence at UMass Dartmouth 2019-20. She founded The Grandma Reporter, a publication on senior women culture around the world, and co-created The Inside Show, a variety show made with prisoners in the Columbia River Correctional Institution.
