Dário is a professor at UMass Dartmouth, as well as an avid writer, passionate photographer, and radio host of Brazilliance.

Dário was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has taught many classes there and in the United States.

His published literary works cover a variety of subjects, including art, music, language, culture, gender, and sexuality.

Brazilliance is his online radio program on the WUMD station (wumd.rocks), that showcases musical genres from Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, and Portugal.
